An international performer and educator at The New School For Jazz and Contemporary Music\, Cardenas co-authored the Thelonious Monk Fakebook\, showcasing his commitment to preserving jazz legacies.\nJoel Harrison: A Guggenheim Fellow and acclaimed guitarist\, composer\, and educator\, Harrison has fearlessly pushed the boundaries of jazz. As the curator for the Guitar Masters Festival’s opening night gala\, he brings his visionary perspective to the event. Founder of the Alternative Guitar Summit\, Harrison seamlessly connects various American traditions\, from jazz to classical\, rock\, and country.\nBrad Shepik: A guitarist\, composer\, and educator with nine albums as a leader\, Shepik is a prominent figure at major festivals and clubs worldwide. Leading the Brad Shepik Organ Trio and Quartet\, he consistently pushes musical boundaries and has collaborated with jazz luminaries such as Paul Motian\, Dave Douglas\, and Carla Bley.\nMax Light: Based in Brooklyn\, guitarist Max Light secured 2nd place in the esteemed 2019 Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Guitar Competition. With versatility as a hallmark\, Max has showcased his talent through performances and recordings alongside acclaimed artists in diverse musical contexts.\nPete McCann: A jazz guitarist from Eau Claire\, Wisconsin\, Pete McCann has been a prominent figure in the New York City jazz scene for over three decades. Recently releasing his seventh album as a leader\, “Without Question\,” McCann’s extensive career includes collaborations with notable artists such as Kenny Wheeler\, Dave Liebman\, and Maria Schneider Orchestra.\nGrant Gordy: An accomplished guitarist\, Grant began his musical journey with bluegrass mandolinist David Grisman’s groundbreaking bluegrass/jazz quintet.
